- What is the Open Hearts philosophy?
Jane learned from her mother that keeping your heart open, despite adversity, can lead to love, hope and inspiration in life. After creating the Open Heart design that originated with one of her paintings, she discovered it could be a symbol bringing hope to others. The essence of Open Hearts philosophy mirrors Jane's belief that love knows no boundaries. As challenging as life can be, Jane believes that keeping an open heart during difficult times will bring love and hope into your life.

- What kind of stories are you looking for on the site?
In a video or written entry, you must clearly explain how living with an Open Heart allowed you to overcome adversity and create something positive in your life and possibly the lives of others. It must be your own original story that has not previously been published or publicly shown or won a prize or award. Video story length is maximum two minutes, and written story length is maximum 250 words.
- How do I know if I have submitted an eligible story?
Once you post a video or written story, it will be reviewed and, if it meets the guidelines provided (see here), it will be added to the View Stories page within three business days from upload date.
- Why don't I see my story posted?
If you do not see your story posted, it did not fit the Open Heart story guidelines which state how living with an Open Heart allowed you to overcome adversity and create something positive in your life and possibly the lives of others.
Other entries may be disqualified if the material, or portion thereof, contains one or more of the following: obscenity, profanity, or content that is deemed lewd, offensive, explicit, vulgar, crude, or defamatory; any content unsuitable for broadcast; materials that are violent or display illegal drug or alcohol use; any use of commercial products or services, including any use of trademarks, brands or logos of commercial products (except Sponsor's products and logos) and services; information that can be used to personally identify an individual, such as an address, phone number or email address; material that is derogatory or threatening to any person or group of people; any third party materials (including but not limited to music), that otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand (except Sponsor's), or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity; materials (other than Sponsor's products) or published or disseminated in any other way by the participant or anyone else; or digital video that is not of satisfactory quality (i.e., brightness, focus, volume) to be streamed online.
- Will I be notified if my story is not eligible?
You will not be notified that your video or written entry is not eligible or why it was not eligible, but you are permitted to revise and resubmit your entry according to the guidelines (see "Why don't I see my story posted?" guidelines).
- How do I see a list of winners?
